On December 6, 2021, at approximately 8:39 PM, 27-year-old Stephon Franks was shot at the intersection of Suitland Parkway and Stanton Road, SE, in Washington, DC. He was found inside a car and succumbed to his injuries the following day, December 7, 2021. The Metropolitan Police Department immediately launched an investigation and sought the public's assistance in gathering information regarding the homicide.
