In the early moments of a Friday morning, the sounds of gunshots shattered the quiet of a residential neighborhood in Northeast Washington, D.C. On July 26, 2019, officers from the Sixth District responded to a call in the 300 block of 50th Street, Northeast, an area near the Kelly Miller Recreation Center. Inside a vehicle, they discovered a man who had been shot multiple times.
