In the winter of 2019, a burst of gunfire shattered the morning calm in Northeast Washington, D.C., leaving a young man's life cut tragically short. Daquan Hankins, a 19-year-old male, was in the 1000 block of Rhode Island Avenue, Northeast, on Saturday, December 14th, when he was struck by multiple bullets.
