On March 16, 2012, at approximately 11:33 pm, Shawn Junior Ray, aged 21, was shot and killed during a robbery in the 4200 block of Edson Place, NE, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred late on a Friday night, and the Metropolitan Police Department responded promptly to the scene after receiving reports of gunfire. Despite their efforts, Ray was pronounced dead after being found with fatal gunshot injuries.
