In the summer of 2015, a young man’s life was cut short in Southeast Washington, D.C. On the evening of Friday, July 24, 23-year-old Antonio McCallister was in the 2700 block of Langston Place, SE, when he was fatally shot. The incident occurred at approximately 10:38 p.m. When police arrived at the scene, they found McCallister suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
