Tiphne Hollis, a 16-year-old from Jacksonville, Florida, was shot and killed on March 20, 2010. She was in a car with four other young women when they became lost in an unfamiliar neighborhood on the westside of Jacksonville. It was at the intersection of Calvin and Belfort Streets that shots were fired at the car, ultimately killing Tiphne. Despite organized monthly walks and advocacy efforts by her family and friends, no suspects have been identified, and her murder remains unsolved.
