On July 19, 2013, Amber Bass, a 22-year-old woman from Jacksonville, Florida, was shot and killed in the driveway of her sister's home after returning from an evening out with friends. The incident occurred around 2:25 a.m. when Amber was walking from her car to her front door. She was confronted by an unknown assailant, who robbed her of her purse and then shot her.
