A text conversation between Da'Mya and a female named La La, who was allegedly a former close friend, provided some insight into the events leading up to the confrontation. La La arrived at the scene with multiple men, including her boyfriend, who brandished weapons. While it is not certain who fired the fatal bullet, it is believed to have been either La La's boyfriend or La La herself.
As of the current date, four people have been taken into custody for questioning in connection with the shooting, but no arrests have been made.
