Veta Latrece Muller, a 41-year-old African American woman, tragically lost her life on January 30, 2018, in Jacksonville, Florida. She was shot multiple times while on her front porch in the 1300 block of Grothe Street. The incident occurred in the early afternoon, and she was hit at least five times in the chest and abdomen. Despite being rushed to UF Health Jacksonville, Veta Muller succumbed to her injuries on the operating table.
