In the early hours of April 27, 2022, the life of 24-year-old Delonte Antonio Williams, a Black/African American male from Washington, D.C., was tragically cut short. At approximately 12:50 a.m., Williams was shot and killed in the 5300 block of Astor Place, Southeast. Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department's Sixth District responded to a report of a shooting and found Williams in the vestibule of a building, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
