On July 18, 2015, Charles Douglas, age 33, was fatally shot in the 1300 block of Riggs Street, NW, Washington, D.C. The incident occurred at approximately 1:43 am when Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) officers responded to reports of gunshots in the area. Upon arrival, they found Douglas suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead shortly afterward. The circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation, and no suspects have been publicly identified.
