On Wednesday, May 10, 2023, a fatal shooting occurred in the 900 block of Decatur Street, Northwest, Washington, D.C., resulting in the death of 24-year-old Aaron Derricott, Jr.

At approximately 4:48 p.m., officers from the Fourth District of the Metropolitan Police Department responded to reports of gunshots in the area.
