On December 23, 2024, the Center Police Department received a call from a concerned mother requesting a welfare check on her son, 36-year-old Cordero Wyatt. She reported that Wyatt had been at his girlfriend's residence in Center, Texas, but was no longer answering his phone and had not returned home.
Officers contacted Wyatt's girlfriend, 40-year-old Alicia Petite, who stated that Wyatt had been at her residence earlier, but friends had picked him up, and he was no longer there. Petite allowed officers to search her home for Wyatt, but he was not found.
Subsequently, police discovered Wyatt's body in a field. Following the discovery, both Petite and another individual were arrested in connection with Wyatt's death.
The investigation is ongoing, and an autopsy is anticipated to determine the exact cause of death. Authorities have not yet released further details regarding the circumstances leading to Wyatt's death or the specific charges against the suspects.
