On a summer evening in Washington, D.C., a burst of gunfire shattered the peace in the 4800 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast. When officers from the Sixth District arrived at the scene around 8:55 p.m. on Friday, July 29, 2022, they discovered a man and a woman suffering from gunshot wounds.
