The festive spirit of the season was tragically shattered in the early morning hours of December 24, 2012. At approximately 2:15 a.m., shortly after parking his black Audi on the 1200 block of C Street NE, Jason was fatally shot multiple times while still seated in the driver's seat. The motive for the brutal attack is believed to have been a robbery. The quiet, tree-lined street, usually adorned with Christmas lights, became the scene of a homicide that stunned the close-knit community.
