On October 21, 2018, Marc Bolden, a 28-year-old resident of Washington, DC, was found dead in his car near 26 New York Avenue NW. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene. Bolden's death was one of three homicides that occurred in Washington, DC, over that weekend, contributing to a significant increase in the city's homicide rate^2^.
