Officers from the Fifth District responded to a report of a shooting and discovered Mr. Harris inside a vehicle, suffering from apparent gunshot wounds.
Emergency medical services arrived at the scene, but it was too late.
Kenneth Harris showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead. His body was later transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner. The Metropolitan Police Department's Homicide Branch is actively investigating the case, which remains an open homicide.
