Rubelio Gomez Cervantes, 40, male, Hispanic/Latino, set out late on the night of October 16, 2018, and never made it home. Just after 11 p.m., police were called to Northeast Washington, D.C., where he had been shot. Investigators determined the shooting occurred in the 1100 block of 51st Street NE, but officers found him down outside a 7-Eleven in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue NE.
