In the daylight hours of a Wednesday afternoon in Washington, D.C., 20-year-old Vincent Purvis, a male resident of Southeast, became the victim of a fatal shooting. On January 15, 2014, at approximately 3:29 p.m., police responded to the sounds of gunshots in the 600 block of Yuma Street, Southeast.
