In the early morning hours of Saturday, May 31, 2008, a life was tragically cut short in the nation's capital. Lawrence Simmons, a male resident of Washington, D.C., was killed in the rear of 2420 4th Street in the northeastern quadrant of the city. The circumstances surrounding his death prompted an immediate investigation by the Metropolitan Police Department.
