On Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at approximately 6:40 p.m., a fatal shooting occurred in the 2300 block of S Street, Southeast, in Washington, D.C. The victim, identified as 65-year-old **Lance Anthony Holmes**, was found inside a residence with gunshot wound injuries. Despite immediate response from the authorities, Holmes died at the scene.
