A fourteen-year-old male named Avion Evans was fatally shot on the afternoon of Thursday, April 4, 2024, at the Brookland-CUA Metro station in Northeast Washington, D.C. The incident occurred around 4 p.m. when a dispute erupted among a group of young people on the station's platform. Avion, a student at Ida B. Wells Middle School, was present during the altercation.
