In the spring of 2021, on the evening of May 14th, tragedy struck in the Judiciary Square neighborhood of Northwest Washington, D.C. Leonard Turner, a 27-year-old male from Southeast D.C., was gunned down in the 400 block of 2nd Street, Northwest. At approximately 9:29 p.m., police responded to reports of a shooting and discovered Turner suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency services transported him to a local hospital, but his injuries proved fatal, and he was pronounced dead.
