In the afternoon hours of a November day in Washington, D.C., the life of Khalil Jones, a 26-year-old Black man, was tragically cut short. On November 17, 2022, at approximately 2:53 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department responded to the sound of gunshots in the 1500 block of Alabama Avenue, Southeast.
