On a Saturday night in Southeast Washington, D.C., the life of 28-year-old Davon Barnes was tragically cut short. It was March 10, 2018, when gunfire erupted in the 2000 block of Savannah Terrace, SE, a street that would become the final scene of the young man's life. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 9:53 p.m., officers from the Metropolitan Police Department arrived to find a grim situation.
