Do you know who murdered Rodney Atkinson? On a Sunday evening in Washington, D.C., on April 18, 2004, a young Black man named Rodney A. Atkinson Jr. lost his life. At approximately 10:30 p.m. in the 2000 block of Rosedale Street, NE, the sound of gunfire shattered the night, and when the chaos subsided, 21-year-old Rodney, known to some as 'Shorty Rock,' had been fatally shot.
