Despite the response from DC Fire and Emergency Medical Services, she showed no signs of life and was pronounced dead at the scene.

heartbreak of the incident was magnified by the presence of her two young children, who were in the backseat of the car when their mother was fatally shot. Family members recounted the terrifying experience of the children, with her young son reportedly describing the gunshot as 'fireworks' before witnessing his mother crash the car.
