In a tragic turn of events, Rashard Felipe Acuna, a 25-year-old Black/African American male, who had moved to Las Vegas, Nevada, from Oakland, California, to escape a life of violence, was found murdered on April 14, 2014. His body was discovered in a desert area south of the Las Vegas Strip, near the Henderson Executive Airport, with a fatal gunshot wound to the back.
