In the early morning hours of December 28, 2020, the life of 30-year-old Jerry Torres, a Hispanic male, came to an untimely end in Whitney, Nevada. Officers from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department were dispatched to the 5700 block of Missouri Avenue around 7 a.m. following reports of gunfire in the area. Upon their arrival at a series of single-story apartments near Boulder Highway, they discovered Jerry Torres unresponsive.
