On April 27, 2022, a fatal shooting occurred in the Roxbury neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, resulting in the death of 51-year-old David Wood. The incident took place in the area of Wabeno and Wyoming streets, where Wood was shot and killed in the middle of the day. Boston police responded to a call for a person shot around 11:40 a.m. and found Wood suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite immediate medical attention, Wood was pronounced dead at the scene.
