Nathaniel Rivers, a 29-year-old Boston resident, was shot and killed on November 5, 2016, on Bentham Road. His death was one of several homicides that took place in Boston that year. Police found Rivers suffering from gunshot wounds at the scene and despite efforts, he was pronounced dead. The Boston Police Department's Homicide Unit took over the investigation, which remains unsolved. Authorities continue to appeal to the public for any information that may help bring the case to closure.
