On a Friday afternoon in Boston, the life of James Jones, a 30-year-old Black man from Dorchester, was brought to a tragic and abrupt end. On October 13, 2023, at approximately 2:06 p.m., police responded to a call for a person shot at 46 Corona Street in the Dorchester neighborhood. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Jones suffering from life-threatening gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response from emergency services, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
