On March 19, 2024, at approximately 2:45 a.m., 19-year-old Christian Montrose was fatally shot outside his family's home on East 104th Street in the Canarsie neighborhood of Brooklyn, New York. Montrose had just parked his car when a black Acura approached. After a brief exchange, an individual inside the Acura fired multiple shots, striking Montrose in the mouth, abdomen, and forearm.
