In the early morning hours of May 2, 2026, Nicholas Dent, a 25-year-old man, was found shot and killed in New Orleans, Louisiana. The incident occurred near the intersection of West Laverne Street and Erin Drive in the Seabrook neighborhood. Reports suggest that Dent, who was the son of a former New Orleans Police Department officer, was shot by a passenger inside his own car. The motive is believed to have possibly been a robbery that tragically turned violent.
