For two days, Kirk Green had been consumed with fixing a persistent alternator issue on his Chevy Tahoe. The 21-year-old, a former semi-pro football player for the Louisiana Blazing Bulldogs, was underneath the hood of his vehicle behind an AutoZone on Marigny Street in New Orleans on the afternoon of Friday, February 22, 2013. He was determined to solve the problem that had been plaguing his truck.
