On New Year's Day in 2015, a hail of gunfire shattered the peace of a New Orleans neighborhood, claiming the lives of 64-year-old Desmond Lange Sr. and his 42-year-old son, Desmonde Lange Jr. The father and son were standing by their pickup truck in the driveway of their family home when an assailant in a vehicle opened fire and then sped away.
