On March 27, 2017, 23-year-old African American male Drey Lewis was fatally shot in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans, Louisiana. According to police reports, three unidentified gunmen opened fire on Eastern Street, resulting in his death. The New Orleans Police Department confirmed that Lewis died at the scene.
