In the spring of 2014, the life of a young Black/African American man, Raymond Thomas, was tragically cut short at the age of 24. On the evening of April 6, 2014, in Huntington, West Virginia, Thomas was fatally wounded by a gunshot. The incident prompted an investigation by local law enforcement, which would soon lead them to a suspect from out of state.
