Justin Pettaway, 29, male, was found shot to death on the evening of June 1, 2016, in Huntington’s Highlawn area. Police were called just before 6:45 p.m. to the 400 block of 26th Street, where they discovered Pettaway with fatal gunshot wounds and another man suffering injuries to his hand and arm. The initial portrait that emerged was of a confrontation that erupted into gunfire, contained to the small orbit of two people who knew each other.
