On the night of December 12, 2024, at approximately 11:04 p.m., Lubbock Police Department officers responded to reports of gunfire at a residence in the 6100 block of 26th Street in West Lubbock. Upon arrival, they discovered 25-year-old Devante Edwards suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Tragically, Edwards was pronounced dead at the scene.
