On the night of Friday, April 17, 2026, a fatal shooting outside a convenience store in central Lubbock claimed the life of 37-year-old Jonathan Trevino. The incident occurred at 10:36 p.m. in the 5900 block of Avenue P, where police responded to a report of shots fired. Upon their arrival, officers discovered Trevino with a severe gunshot wound.
