In a tragic turn of events during what should have been a festive time, a 41-year-old man, Derwin James, lost his life in a shooting in Baton Rouge. The incident also left his 10-year-old son wounded. James was a devoted father to four children and was also a grandfather. Described by those who knew him as a 'model father' and a 'stand-up guy,' he was a hardworking man dedicated to providing for his children.
