In the early morning hours of Saturday, June 13, 2020, Jarvis Mabry, a 31-year-old male, was discovered lifeless in the driver's seat of a vehicle in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The grim finding occurred around 2:45 a.m. on the 1700 block of Chippewa Street. Mabry had sustained what appeared to be gunshot wounds and was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Baton Rouge Police Department launched a homicide investigation into the shooting.

Jarvis Jerome Mabry was a 2008 graduate of St. Helena and had attended Arkansas Baptist College. He was survived by his wife, JeVaughdria Shanice Lee Mabry, and his two daughters, Melia and Melaysia Mabry. His death was a loss to his extensive family, including his parents and numerous siblings. His family and friends remembered him as a great guy who was family-oriented and didn't bother anyone.
