On a tragic Thanksgiving morning, November 28, 2024, the life of 34-year-old Cantrelle Hayes-Ross, a Black female, was cut short in Savannah, Georgia. The incident unfolded in the early hours at her own daycare facility, the Friend Zone Learning Center, located on Augusta Avenue. Responding to a ShotSpotter alert indicating gunfire, Savannah police officers arrived to a grim scene.
