On July 12, 2022, the body of 28-year-old Madalyn Coulter, a white female, was discovered in a red Toyota Highlander in the parking lot of the DoubleTree Hotel on Yvette J. Hagins Drive near the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. Coulter had been reported missing earlier that day, and her body was found with a gunshot wound.
