Cockrell was charged with murder, assault with a deadly weapon, accessory after the fact, and a gang enhancement. Both suspects were held at the Los Angeles County Jail.
The case was presented to the Los Angeles District Attorney's Office on October 4, 2018, resulting in formal charges against Moreno and Cockrell.
