Donald Gene Parks Jr., a 34-year-old resident of Long Beach, California, tragically lost his life on April 24, 2015. According to reports, Parks was outside a home in the 100 block of Platt Street with a group of people when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire. The incident occurred shortly after 11:30 p.m., and Parks was the only individual struck by the gunfire. Despite the prompt arrival of paramedics, Parks was pronounced dead at the scene.
