On November 30, 2024, at approximately 4:30 p.m., Tucson Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at an apartment complex located at 3450 N. Stone Ave. Upon arrival, they discovered 20-year-old Heriberto "Eddie" Samaniego inside one of the apartments, suffering from gunshot wounds. Samaniego was immediately transported to Banner University Medical Center for treatment.
