In the late afternoon of November 30, 2024, the life of 20-year-old Heriberto 'Eddie' Samaniego, a Hispanic male, was tragically cut short. First responders were called to an apartment complex on North Stone Avenue in Tucson, Arizona, around 4:30 p.m. following reports of a shooting. Inside one of the apartments, they found Samaniego suffering from gunshot wounds.
Paramedics quickly transported him to Banner University Medical Center, where medical staff fought to save his life.
Despite their efforts, Heriberto Samaniego succumbed to his injuries the following day, on December 1, 2024. The Tucson Police Department's Homicide Unit has since launched an investigation into the shooting.
As of the latest reports, the investigation into Samaniego's death is ongoing. Detectives are actively seeking information from the public to help piece together the events that led to the fatal shooting. At this time, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the homicide.
