On February 28, 2023, 16-year-old Dadrien Harrison, a junior at Lake Highlands High School in Dallas, Texas, was fatally shot near his school. The incident occurred around 5:40 p.m. in the 7300 block of Skillman Street, less than a mile from the campus. Harrison was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
