In the early hours of July 27, 2024, a shooting occurred at a Texaco gas station located at the intersection of I-35E frontage road and Laureland Road in southern Dallas, Texas. Five individuals were shot during the incident, including 28-year-old Devon Parlay Lewis, who sustained critical injuries. Despite medical intervention, Lewis succumbed to his injuries on August 5, 2024.
